Cedar berries - yum, yum, yum. Yellow-rumped Warblers passing through and more Cedar Waxwings at the cedar tree this morning.

Cedar Waxwings enjoy eating the berries on the Cedar tree. Apparently the berries at the top of the tree are the most desirable.

Lots of Goldfinches dining at the sunflowers in the back yard this summer. This one is checking it out.

Gorgeous day and great for an evening walk. My route was "little bird alley". Lots of little birds about. These were two of my favorites: a Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher and an Indigo Bunting.

Spotted this female Rose-breasted Grosbeak up in the tree on a recent evening's walk.

Looked out the kitchen window early this morning - what a surprise! This was a first for me - a partially leucistic Common Grackle.

Out doing some yard work and walked by this Garter Snake enjoying the sun-shiny day.

Snow day. A Cardinal in the Forsythia bush made a bright spot in the back yard this snowy morning.

And, of course at Cranefest - the Sandhill Cranes flying in...
Another bird of prey on exhibit at Cranefest was this gorgeous Peregrine Falcon.
Traveled to Michigan last October and attended Cranefest. In addition to the Sandhill Cranes there was a Raptor exhibit. The Eurasian Eagle Owl was quite beautiful.
